"Tis great truth of the priesthood, ministry, and sanctuary of Christianity is not to be hid forever from the eyes of the church and the world. 

The mystery of iniquity arose and so hid from the world the mystery

INIQUITY

of God that all the world followed it wondering. Revelation 13:3-4. 

But the day comes when the mystery of iniquity shall be exposed, and the mystery of God in its own truth and purity shall shine forth once more, never more to be hid, but to accomplish its great purpose and be completely finished. 

For it is written: Revelation 10:7 In the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as He has declared to His servants the prophets. 

In the days of Christ and His apostles, the mystery of God was revealed in a fulness never before known and was preached “to all nations for the obedience of faith.” Romans 16:25-26. 

From the beginning of the world unto that time this mystery had “been hid in God” (Ephesians 3:9), had “been hid from ages and from generations”, but was then “made manifest to His saints” (Colossians 1:26) to whom Colossians 1:27 ...God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 

28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

But even at that same time, in the very days of the apostles, the mystery of iniquity did “already work.” 2 Thessalonians 2:7. 

And it continued to work until it gained world-power and supremacy and even power over the saints, the times, and the law of the Most

High—standing up against the Prince of princes, magnifying itself even to the Prince of the host, putting itself in the place of worship of God, and passing itself of for God. 

And thus, again, but not this time in God, the mystery of God was “hid from ages and from generations.” 

But now, again, in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, even now, the mystery of God which has again been hid from ages and generations, is made manifest to His saints to whom now: Colossians 1:27 ...God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 

28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. 

For not only did Daniel see the rise of this little horn and see it magnify itself “even to the Prince of the host” (Daniel 8:11), and “stand up against the Prince of princes” (Daniel 8:25), and cast
down to the ground His truth and His sanctuary and stamp upon them (Daniel 8:10-12), but he also, and in the same vision, saw the truth and the sanctuary of Christ delivered from this little horn power, rescued from its blasphemous stamping, lifted up from the earth and exalted to the heaven where it belongs. 

And it was in this part of the transactions in the vision that the heavenly ones seemed to be most interested; for, says Daniel: 

Daniel 8:13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spoke, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice [the continual service], and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden underfoot? 

14 And He said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed. 

Having thus directed the prophet’s attention to the vision, the angel

begins immediately to discuss the time mentioned in the vision—the very part of the vision which, because of Daniel’s fainting, had been left unexplained. Thus he says: 24 Seventy weeks are determined upon your people and upon your holy city. 

The word “determined” signifies “limited,” “restricted within bounds,” “to mark of and fix the bounds.”

“Seventy weeks,” or four hundred and ninety of these days are limited and restricted to the Jews and Jerusalem, and this also marks the limitation of the Jews and Jerusalem as God’s special people and city. 

For these are prophetic days, in which each day is a year: the seventy weeks, or the four hundred and ninety days, thus making four hundred and ninety years of the two thousand and three hundred days which are two thousand and three hundred years. 

--The beginning of the four hundred and ninety years is thus also the beginning of the two thousand and three hundred years.

The commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem here referred to

went forth in the year 457 B.C. and is recorded in the seventh chapter of Ezra. The decree was issued from Babylon and was addressed, frst, to Ezra, empowering him to leave Babylon and to take with him such people and materials as were supplied for the work of restoring Jerusalem and the worship of God therein, and secondly “to all the treasurers which are beyond the river” Euphrates, directing them to supply whatever was required by Ezra for the carrying on of the work.

It was the fifth month of the year when Ezra reached Jerusalem, so that about half the year 457 B.C. was gone, which would give about the year 456½ as the time of the beginning of the four hundred and ninety years and the two thousand and three hundred years. From that time four hundred and eighty-three years were to reach “to the Messiah the Prince,” which would reach twenty-six and one-half years into the Christian era or into the year A.D. 27, which is the very year of Christ’s appearance as the Messiah in His public ministry, when He was baptized in Jordan and anointed with the Holy Ghost. Mark 7:9-11; Mathew 3:13-17. 

After this He, the Messiah, was to “confirm the covenant” “for one week”—the remaining week of the seventy. 

--But in the midst of that week, He would “cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease” by the sacrifice of Himself on the cross. 

In the midst of the week would be at the end of three and a half of the seven years from the fall of A. D. 27. This gives the date the spring of A.D. 31, the very time when the Savior was crucified, and thus by the sacrifice of Himself—the only sacrifice for sins—forever caused

the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. 

--Then the veil of the earthly temple “was rent in twain from the top to the bottom” (Mathew 27:51; Mark 15:38) showing that the service of God there was ended and the earthly house was desolate. There was yet the last half of the seventieth week remaining as the limit of the time of special favor to the Jews and Jerusalem. This half of the week, beginning in the spring of A.D. 31, extended to the fall of A.D. 34. In that time.

But when this time was expired and the Jews had confrmed themselves in the rejection of the Messiah and His gospel, then was their decision accepted and under the leadership of both Peter and Paul the door of faith was opened fully to the Gentiles, to whom pertains the remaining portion of the two thousand and three hundred years.

And at that time, in Daniel 8:14, “then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.” In 1844 also was the very time of “the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound” and when “the mystery of God should be fnished, as He has declared to His servants the prophets.” 

At that time there would be broken up

the horror of great darkness 

by which the mystery of iniquity had hid from ages and generations the mystery of God.

At that time the transcendent truth of the priesthood and ministry of Christ would be rescued from the oblivion to which the abomination and transgression of desolation had consigned it and would once more and forever stand in its true and heavenly place in the faith of the church, accomplishing in every true believer that perfection which is the eternal purpose of God which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord."

How Abraham became a "FRIEND OF GOD"

God’s words rang true,

Abraham was called the friend of God (James 2:23). 

--He cared about the things God cared about; they shared common interests and communed together on a deep level.

Conversely, godlessness leads to the suppression of the truth (Rom. 1:18) and those who love evil deliberately avoid it (John 3:19,20). Pilate asked, “What is truth?” (John 18:38) but had little time for the One who could have answered the question. 

Such is the animosity of many towards truth that they unrepentantly assert that God is a liar (John 3:33-34) and even attribute His words and works to Satan (Luke 11:15).

"Satan’s strategy today is exactly the same as the one he employed in the Garden of Eden: “Did God really say?” (Gen. 3:1). 

Q:“Did God really mean that He made the world in six days?

I. Observation

Satan has “blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the Gospel” (2 Cor. 4:4), and the extent of this mind control is truly remarkable. 

--The insistence that it is a fact that ‘primitive’ life emerged out of

the oceans, by purely natural processes, is breath-taking, given that scientists have absolutely no idea how it could have happened. 

--Evolutionists are hard pressed to identify more than one or two mutations that appear to have added information to genomes, yet they insist that this happened billions and billions of times throughout history, to create all the complexity of the living world. 

--The dogma of an exceedingly ancient Earth, when current rates of erosion indicate that the continents would have been flattened many times over, were they really millions of years old, is nothing less than self-inflicted blindness.

*The insistence that belief in evolution is necessary for scientific advancement and medical progress is astonishing, given the difficulty scientists have in pointing to technological breakthroughs which arose from evolutionary thinking. As pointed out by Dr. Marc Kirschner, founding chair of the Department of Systems Biology at Harvard Medical School,

“In fact, over the last 100 years, almost all of biology has proceeded independent of evolution, except evolutionary biology itself. Molecular biology, biochemistry, physiology, have not taken evolution into account at all.”

II. Response

--When people question us about whether God cares about us in our fallen state, 

*we can tell them that, no sooner had man sinned, God announced His plan of salvation (Gen. 3:15). 

--When they ask us why the sedimentary rocks contain billions of fossils, and billions of tons of coal and other fossil fuels, 

*we can point them to the Noahic Flood (Gen. 6-8). 

--When they ask us where the different ‘human races’ came from, 

*we can point them to the dispersal at Babel (Gen. 11:1-9) and explain that there is only one human race, the one descended from Adam. 

--When they ask us how Christ could die for their sins, 

*we can explain that just as all sinned in Adam, so all may be redeemed in Christ (1 Cor. 15:21-22). 

--According to Jesus, the greatest commandment is 

*that we should love the Lord our God with all our hearts and with all our souls and with all our minds (Matt 22:37). 

Q: How can we do this if we have lingering doubts that we do not get answered? 

A: The answer is God’s Word, which provides “an anchor for the soul, firm and secure” (Heb. 6:19)."

document could negatively affect the autonomy of educational institutions. Directly interposing between the institution and its governing board would be a challenge (whatever that means). Putting a BRI member on boards would pose ‘some challenges’. Many of our educational institutions are not willfully going against GC working policy. They just don’t have a copy of the GC policy (lamest excuse ever). She is also concerned that the recommendations are too broad.

Ted Wilson responded to Mrs. Hardy. “I'm going to put my neck right on the line. Our institutions which have drifted—and I'm going to use that word—have drifted into the area of saying “You can't touch us. We have our own board we have our own protocols and you can't touch us.” They have drifted into the wrong place.

Institutions are institutions of the World Church respectively in all of the different areas—who funds them, who sends the students. These are the people that want to see those educational institutions flourish under an understanding of [true] education in a Biblical and spirit of Prophecy and [a] God-focused understanding. That is the reason for our institutions. Otherwise, there's no other reason for it. Parents [and] constituent members want to see that kind of focus. Institutions which are now putting an arm's length between the church and active involvement of the church are headed in the wrong direction. Some people will not like to hear that. They will say [it] sounds like this president is now going to become a big gorilla and going to lean on us. We're going to work on this collaboratively, but we cannot allow the slippage.”

SDA Issues: Diop's Korah Moment

"According to Ganoune Diop, the Three Angels’ Messages are no longer applicable. They are an aberration in today’s world. Furthermore, Diop implies that those who speak out against the Pope or his secular advocates, who support doctrines couched in Marxist rhetoric, are engaging in hate speech and should be viewed as extremists. They endeavor to discard every vestige of our church’s foundational principles in order to become like the rest of the world.

Diop alluded to the fact that promoting Bible truths and their

relationship to history and current events can place the lives of all Seventh-day Adventists in jeopardy. 

In other words, present truth is nothing more than an effort to incite violence. This is a trend we have been seeing at many of our churches where the Spirit of Prophecy has been relegated to the “historical trash heap”; part of a quote by Neal Wilson (Ted’s father) during a court hearing in 1975 when he tried to allay concerns about the so-called anti-popery sentiments of conservative Protestantism.

We are supposed to be a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and a peculiar people (1 Peter 2:9). 

This sets us apart from others, and, by virtue of this position, we will indeed face persecution. E.G. White sums it up this way: “When we reach the standard that the Lord would have us reach, worldlings will regard Seventh-day Adventists as odd, singular, straightlaced extremists” {RH, January 9, 1894, par. 10}."

"Though it seems vile on its surface,

I’m going to put aside my modern perspective and look at this in a more detached way.

In the case of an upcoming famine because of massive crop failure, the children are likely going to die anyway. A slow and painful death that will scar the working adults and also encourage them to waste what little food they do have trying to save their children.

I can see how the leaders might take a decision to kill off some extra mouths to feed, prioritizing the fully grown workers so that there is more chance of saving the civilization as a whole.

The ceremonial religious sacrifice part of it could also serve a purpose, to make those parents feel as if their loss had more meaning, possibly some control over the situation too. Certainly slightly less traumatic than a kill squad going door to door.

Anyway I’m just trying to offer a different perspective, feel free to assume people from radically different times and cultures are simply wrong and evil, and that we are so much more civilized now without any introspection in to how ****** up things still are."

My Response/Observation:

I'm going to try looking at this without a post-modernist/woke/PC lens. Let's view through a Biblical lens.

1) Apparently long before cars, planes and air conditioners, (supposedly causing man-made "global warming") there were droughts. Long before the Climate Change Cult there was" weather" that went through cycles. LIKE TODAY. 

So now, instead of venerating idols (as our pagan ancestors did) we are more sophisticated in our paganistic veneration of mother earth, we use charts and words like "science" and are willing to sacrifice our standard of living to it and even listen to some who call for "population control" in the name of it (which means, if these people ever fully get their way, someone among us must be sacrificed to appease the mother earth goddess).And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

3) The very fact we have people on cyberspace trying to justify or downplay the evil of killing their own children with the argument that they would probably die anyway speaks volumes of the age of Enlightened Man.
